monster list/effect dispel list?

Hi, looking for 2 things

1. a list that shows all of the monsters in Bg2 but gives only their abilities/powers. I don't need to know how to beat them or their stats, ex. mind flayers cast psyonic blast resulting in a stun or they drain intelligence etc.

2. a list that shows what can get rid of effects such as confusion, level drain, etc..

1 .Try the Book of many things(download) from the section of downloads in Sorcerer's Place.
2 . For Level Drain use restoration , for confusion use dispell , for entangle or slow use free action or dispell , for charm use dispell etc. Dispell must be your main spell (a bard is the best for dispell). Restoration is very important . Is the only spell you can use on Level Drain. For Level Drain you can use negative plane protection(before combat) and for finger of death use death ward. Hope that helps.

I must add Chaotic command to your list, since it's a so great spell. It grants immunity to charm, confusion, domination, stun, hold, ect... basically everything a mindflayer can throw at you

 

Chaotic commands protect from almost everything, except magical fear.

So, memorize Resist Fear\Remove Fear, too.

 

how about intelligence drain? anything to get rid of that? restoration?

 

The mind flayer's intelligence drain wears off after 5 rounds. It only happens on a critical hit by the flayer.
It helps for your mainliners to have atleast 11 Int. Since the mind flayer will drain 5 int points on a critical, 11 int allows you to take a hit and continue the onslaught. This is why Minsc, Anomen and Valygar are particularly useless against these illethids.
If you have these guys, its best to have them down a potion of genius before fighting any illethids.

 

Shrikant, they drain int on hit.
But usually they need critical to hit you due to low THAC0

Flayers get 4 attacks per round, perhaps more then one them got through?
