Mods, Mods, Mods and more Mods

    It seems that there are so many completed mods for BG2 and lots more under development and I was thinking "with so many mods out there how will I know which ones are worth the time and effort?)

    So I'm turning to all of you people and asking about what you think is worth the time and why, I've also heard of plenty more coming up and wanted to know what everyone think's of them.

    There was a list here some time ago... It even had, IIRC, brief descriptions about the mods. Guess it got buried. :( If you seek it out, you could decide yourself.

    The mods I like are Valen, Tashia and Chloe. I haven't tried many of the balancing/fix mods, but these are supposed to be quite good. The Solafein (sp?) mod is very popular as well.

    It also seems that you need to choose carefully what to install, as there is a preferred installation order for some of the mods, especially some of the earlier TeamBG mods.

    Take a look in the mods section on this site for more details. There are quite a lot being produced still as well.

    heh I can only install so much on the computer before it becomes too much, Im down to about 10.something gigs HD space left... something I dident think possible till this week.

    Is this the mod list your talking about?

    You're DOWN to 10Gb? That's half my hard drive right there.

    It depends what type of mod you want. NPCs are numerous and nearly all very good. If you want to extend the challenge of the game, check out http://www.weidu.org - the Tactics and Ascension mods are meant to be quite difficult.
