Having never modded before, I am in a bit of a pickle. I have come up with an idea for a new character that I'd like to create for BGII, and while I am completely comfortable with writing all of the dialogue, I have no idea how to code, how to learn how to code, or what codding even means. (I'm kidding on the last part, I do know what it means.) Anywho, is there any place I can get a lesson on how to do this, since I'd like to see what I'm up against before I start writing pages and pages of dialogue. Thanks!

I used the tutorials at Chosem of Mystra, found here. You can check other modding sites, such as PPG or G3, if you don't like CoM. I found CoM's n00b tutorial easier to understand for someone who doesn't know anything about BG2 coding.

Thank you, kuemper. I ended up going with PPG's tutorial for newbs, as CoM's had been completely edited out. I think I'll write out all of my dialogue first, but it's nice to see how complicated it is before I even start.
Now, if anyone else has any advice, or good places to go for advice, don't hesitate to share! I'm more than eager to appeal to those with greater knowledge. Seriously, don't reduce me to begging :p
