HI. I just got a Motorola RAZR V3 off e-bay for my girlfriend. The phone seems to work fine, but when she was trying to send photo's from her old phone to the new phone via mms, she got a sms message saying she had to go to the O2 website. She can go in and download the photos to her hard drive, but why isn't it sending the picture. Her old phone isn't blue tooth so she can't send them that way. Is there anyway I can check her GPRS settings or something. The RAZR was unlocked so her ols sim card is being used in it.

The same thing happens when I try sending an MMS via my N80 to my girlfriend's 6600... *shrug*.

Is GPRS access enabled on your girlfriend's phone? IIRC, my girlfriend didn't have that enabled on her phone (yeah, you have to pay for that in India) so she had to get it off the net. My brother has a 6630, with GPRS enabled and he never had the problem...

How do I check. I've never owned a Motorla before. Not to familiar with it. Anyway she likes to try and fiddle with it herself and bitterly complain about her lack of progress. Must be a women thing.

    The first RAZR?

F***. You like to live dangerously, do you? The V3 is a complete piece of trash.

BTW, it IS Bluetooth. The Big bad carrier just crippled the phone and disabled it.

And if the phone's unlocked, Wireless Web will NEVER work unless the phone is reprogrammed with the settings of the new carrier. E.G I have an unlocked Rogers Nokia 3595. I use it on Fido, but to get Wireless web to work correctly, the settings must be altered. So, in your case, for the phone to work correctly, it would need to be reprogrammed with O2's wireless web settings.

Also, GPRS is enabled on all GSM phones.

Well, maybe not *all* but on the big majority of phones.

GPRS has been dethroned by EDGE, though.

@DotW & TMH: By asking if GPRS was enabled, I meant does your carrier allow you GPRS access...not whether the hardware supports GPRS...
