MM6 Sound Problems on XP Pro

    I installed Might and Magic 6 (with all patches) about an hour ago. While it runs fine on my XP Pro system, I'm having a few problems.

    The sound effects only play about 10% of the time. Music and Walk sounds don't work at all.

    Does anyone know how to correct this problem? I would rather not download third party software to run the thing, although patches are fine.

    I remember the walking sounds missing when I last installed it but the music worked fine....weird.

    Gimme a minute, I'll try to dig something up.

    It seems that MM6 doesn't like SoundBlasters on XP Pro. Disabling Hardware Acceleration fixed the problem.
