After encountering Marek nad Lothander the first time, where do you have to go in order for Lothander to ask for your help? I can't remember

Also, when I got to the city, 1st thing I did was clear out the 7 suns like Scar asked, but I didn't talk to him right after, so now that I am, the only option I get is a "sorry we failed/didn't learn anything" and if I talk a second time, he says it's okay and that the Flaming Fist will handle it, wtf?

 

The middle section of the city, right in the middle of the map (where all the tents are). Just walk around and he'll find you.

I've had that happen to me a couple times too, even with going straight from the 7 Suns to Scar. I reload my quicksave check back in, and the dopplegangers are there again. I kill them again, then go upstairs to check there but those are still dead. When I come back downstairs, there are two more dopplegangers. They just kept spawning for some odd reason. Reloading to before I go in the first time works, and so far I've left it at that.

As for the Scar thing, I've rechecked, there are no more dopplegangers and the entry is already in my journal about Jhasso and the dopplegangers, but still nothing. Nm, I'll just forego the cash and xp and do the Iron Throne already, everyone except Coran is maxed out already anyways and I've got a bit over 100,000gp so I'm okay.

 

How about going to the basement to free the prisoner?

 

did that the first time, that's why the Jhasso entry was in the journal, but still nothing. nm though, I decided to just forget it, must've just been a weird glitch?

 

I just think that the Scar's quests part is badly scripted. I have had them screw up at different points in a number of games. It's quite annoying seeing as you can play a perfectly bug free BG, and then when you reach the Gate itself BOM, Scar and his quests messes your game up . Oh, and I've had this happen on me in un-modded BG games, just FYI .

Well duh. That's always the first thing I do, even before I talk to the merchants on the first floor to make them transform. Still have a problem every once in a while. Should probably learn the CLUA code to fix it, but reloading usually works.

EDIT:
It probably has something to do with how quick I kill them; the kill variable condition is exactly 5 if you check in with Scar before killing the dopplegangers, rather than a GT. Anybody fit to fix a .DLG?

yeah, my game was unmodded as well.. I never play a modded BG, only classic for me
