Minsc & Aerie - will it end in tears?

    rethinking my approach now - does anyone know if minsc and aerie get 'locked together' like in BG1 and have to be swapped out as a couple once Aerie has been adopted?

    insights greatly appreciated

    I never had any problems. Kicked Aerie out, Minsc never said a word. Only time I noticed any effect this had was when Aerie dies, Minsc goes beserk (literally).

    A problem about Aerie: Jaheira and Aerie hate each other.I tried to protect both of them from each other, but when i left the asylum, she just left the party( with 18 rep.). Can I handle this situation?( That aerie won't leave)?

    I suppose that when you protect them both, so don't choose one site but try to keep peace, they should both stay in your party. WHen you also have minsc, you can romance Jaheira after Minsc adopted Aerie as his new witch, I suppose.

    That's very strange. Unless you were really mean to one of the romance possibles, they shouldn't leave when you choose one or the other. Jaheira leaves a number of times on her own as part of her special plotline, so perhaps you are mistaking the cause and effect?

    I had jaheira, aerie and viconia once, but never noticed that jaheira and aerie fought, maybe if you are in a romance with both of them. I was in a romance with aerie and viconia, and viconia always made aerie cry...

    For me, if I tried to boot Aerie, Minsc left too...
    If you romance Jaheira and Aerie, you'll see that they say the meanest things to each other. :grin:
    Another question, if Haer'Dalis romances Aerie, as he seems to be doing in my party with his constant talk to her about her acting ability and beauty :flaming:, can I romance her too?

    yes, you can romance her too, but *winning* the romance is no certainty. Its very easy to blow the romance and have her go with Haer'Dalis instead. Eventually there will be a confrontation and Aerie will make a choice.
