    Hey all,

Some of you may remember I talked about having a lot of Vista problems lately.

Well, I gave up and installed Win XP, which means I can play BG again!

Anyway, I've been thinking about doing a complete run through for a while now. Using Tutu ofcourse.

Now the party, there's been lots of themes and cool ideas, but one I haven't seen yet and want to explore is the theme of a mercenary party.

This party would be in the adventure purely for cold hard cash(coin) and treasure. The party isn't evil though but will complete a quest based on which side or option yields the greater reward.

Before I start the game, I'd like a list of potential party candidates, your help would be appreciated in choosing the members. Mod NPCs are fine as long as the mod is mostly bugfree and it fits the theme.

    In BG1 we have:
Kagain - A real merc, perfect for this party
    Safana - Treasure hunter
    Garrick? - Seems plausible
Imoen - I'll probably keep her, so I have a story hook in BG2, plus I'd like to roleplay this run as much as possible
    Coran - Treasure hunter

Can't think of any other characters, I hope you guys can help me

    In BGII we have
Korgan - Good follow up for Kagain, even though I prefer Kagain.
Jan - Seems to like money
Imoen - see above for reasons
    Haer'dalis - I think he'd fit this party
Yoshimo - Bounty Hunter, obviously a good fit, but not a long term partner

As you can see, I don't have any divine casters and not much choice in the arcane department.
I hope there's some mod NPC's that can fill up this list.

I'd probably have to create a priest myself, can't remember if Divine Remix adds a Waukeen cleric though. Hmmz, have to check that.

Anyway, if you guys have any ideas, I'd appreciate it!

What about Yeslick .. or Tiax? There are NPC mods for both to keep them in BG2.

DR doesn't add a Waukeen kit

Hmmz, Yeslick and Kagain don't really get along. In fact they will fight, if I remember correctly.

Tiax would be an idea, not so much because he's a mercenary, but he's cool enough to have around.

The Tiax mod if finished? Nice, I think I'll try that one out.

In fact, I've been interested in the Kido mod as well, hmmz, I think this party'll end up evil after all...

Kulyok is ATM working on a quest for him. He's found at spellhold, so it may take a while to get him...

Alright, I'll have a look at him.

Screw Imoen, I'm going to Spellhold to save Tiax!

Edwin isn't a bad choice. He's an arcane spellcaster and definately fits the description of enjoying cash. Same with Montaron and his company mage... forget his name, Xzar? If you don't mind her attitude there is of-course shar-teel.

Not sure about who you could pick from the divine spellcaster lot though. You could, yourself, become a fighter/cleric dual/multi though.

Hmmz, I've played Edwin to death, so I don't fancy picking him again.

Montaron and Xar work for another group, the Zenths if I remember. So they'd have their own hidden agenda.

I think I'll just play and see who I pick up, maybe use a revolving door kinda policy. Use one NPC for a couple of quests, then use another.
