[IMG] What would everyone think if Bioware made a user-friendly engine for custom Baldur's Gate quests and campaigns much like Neverwinter Nights? Is there one out there already? I know of the Infinity Explorer and engine hackers, but I mean a full-blooming program with much freedom - what would we do with such awesome power? Ahahhahaahaaa.....

[IMG] I think the main problems with an editing tool to let you drum up your own infinity engine campaigns, aside from the admited (by Bioware) complexity of the engine, are the hand rendered backgrounds. I imagine at least it would take some real talent to make any type of infinity engine game from scratch. The reason I beleive it will work so well with the NWN engine is the simplicity built into it. They built it from the ground up with end user creations in mind. Plus the full 3d aspect of it makes creating worlds possible without the advanced graphics training;) I'd love to see an editor that would allow people to create their own games with the engine. Dispite what some people have to say about it being past its prime and outdated, there seems to still be a strong connection between it and gamers (though I suppose one could argue after a crappy game came out using the engine that it was a connection between Bioware and gamers). I think games based on it would continue to attract a sizeable audience for a few years into the future.

This game is already a few years old. No compamny makes add ons for a very old game while there are already a part 2 and 3 of the same game. Not much people play BG anymore, so when there would come such an add-on, it would be for ToB. But I think they fully concentrate on NWN, where you should be able to make your own quests.
