    I have a question about the main forums page: to the left of the name of the forum there is a small icon that is either red of gray - red, if there are new messages after my last visit and gray if no new ones.

    Now the question. New means UNREAD or NEWER than my last visit? Because right now I have read all new messages (but there some older unread messages) in the BG2 and ToB and Whatnots forums and it still sais there are newer messages.

    Even if you have read a message previously, if someone adds a new reply to it it is considered a new message in regards to the opening page button. (I think).

    Yes, I understand that. I mean, I have read all the latest replies to the top ten newest topics on the forum, and I still get "New messages" icon on the main forums page.

    [​IMG] The trick is to actually close the browser and load the page again later. Cookies are set per session; in other words, a session is in progress from the point you open the first page on the forums (any), till you close the last one. That time is logged, and next time you come to the boards, all newer post SINCE YOUR LAST SESSION will show. Edits in a topic do not count as a new post (i.e. will not light the diamond.)
