[IMG] No posts here for 5 days. Does IWD suck or have BG2 taken all of the interest?

I think that BG2 have all the attention for now. Its good for me also.

I finished IWD maybe 1-2 months ago, and now, all the time I spent on gaming is on BG2.

    Require a lot of energy...

IWD is awesome and has actually been the one that sits higher with me than Baldur's Gate 2. Now, now, before the posts. Baldur's Gate 2 is an awesome game, but sometimes when you don't want to walk around talking to all these people and running around doing quest after quest, IWD provides you with just good 'ol hack and slash. You know what you have to do and you do it with force!

I'm looking forward to the exspansion, that's for sure and at the same time, I'm looking forward to getting interested in BG2 again.

    Syl...

    [IMG] I have to agree.

BG2 is obviously capturing everyone's attention. But IWD is a more compelling game and, in a lot of important ways, superior. I'm overwhelmed with the number of quests and NPCs in BG2 and underwhelmed with its pace. I'm looking forward to the IWD expansion (hope it includes kits!) more than I am in finishing BG2, which I have to force myself to play, like a chore or obligation.

I'm hoping that the expansion will have another opportunity to enter the Underdark. I want to go after that dark elf Nim who sold the Orcs all the dwarven/Elven weapons...He D-Doored before I had a chance to take him out!

Oh HO! He teleports to the back of that map where the shrine and the gnomes are; I took care of him there... :)

Backstab works nicely too. You just have to bring him down in one round, so have everyone strike him at once.

I totally missed him. I talked to him first, and bought some items from him...Then tried to attack, and he blinked out.

I wish I had known he was back there...I would have pummeled him! Oh well, I'll just have to play again!

[IMG] The expansion should be out by the end of the month, but more likely in January.

I think the reason IWD doesn't get much attention is because BG2 is more complex: plot puzzles and the like. It does have more features, but it is refreshing when you play IWD to find it is a game that doesn't take 10 effing minutes to load each area.

I personally liked IWD a little better than BG2.

On another note, I heard rumors that the expansion to IWD will have something to do with the door/mechanism in Kuldahar. Can anyone confirm? Or has anyone heard similar?

[IMG] Hehe, yes, I can confirm it.
Go to http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/IWD and check the HoW features list, then surf over to the Tips, Tricks & Hints section and read the FAQ.
