Lothander won't speak to me!

    Having been poisoned, I started the Lothander Quest and got the tome od wisdom. I decided to keep it (well wyhy not?) so I pickpocketed the Remove Geas scroll from the priestess. Lothander now ignores me.

    Having reloaded, I swapped the tome for the scroll and tried to steal the tome back. This was noticed but I got the tome from the body. Lothander will speak now.

    I assume a flag has to be set by dialog with the priestess - or is there a small bug here?

    No idea about the bug, but I assume there is a flag to be set and pickpocketing was never intended. But there is an easier way to keep the tome while staying within the game 'rules'. When returning to the priestess, chose the dialog that says something like 'I have the tome but you give me the cure first'. Then you say 'I will not give you the tome now'. After that they all attack you so you can get the experience for killing them (they are evil after all) and get to keep and use the tome.

    Nice idea.

    I tried again to steal the tome - got the No relevent object response. So the only solutions are yours or to be a bad enough thief to get caught.

    Being caught stealing does not, in this case, lower your rep.

    Next time I'll try it your way - seems simpler.
