I am intrigued by the notion of this mod (located here: http://www.sorcerers.net/Games/BG2/index_mods_large.php ). I have a few questions if anybody can answer.

One, does combining the games into one big congolomerate mean that the original Baldur's Gate will move at the speed of Baldur's Gate II? I was introduced to the series after SoA was released. I once tried to play the original Baldur's Gate but found that how slowly the characters moved was very frustrating. If the merging of the games means the characters move at the speed of SoA I may give this a try.

Second, is it possible with this mod to use a ToB or SoA class in the original Baldur's Gate? I'd love to play the first game as a Wild Mage. Is this possible?

Edit: One last thing... does anybody know if I can still use ShadowKeeper if I use this mod?

Short answer is, yes. The entire series now runs in the BG2 infinity engine, so your characters will move faster than BG1. Also, you can adjust the framerate (and thus, the movement speed) of all animations in both games though the BGconfig utility.

Second question - yes you can. It essentially takes all of BG1's content and plays it through BG2. All BG2 kits and classes are present.

Third question - don't know. But someone else here will. :)

Oh, wow! That's fantastic news! I need to get a copy of the first game right away! That was my only problem with SoA, starting in the middle of the story.

I didn't get very far the first time I tried the original so I don't know if there was an issue with hitting the level cap. If this IS a problem does the expanded cap from SoA mean that I can exceed level 7 in the first game?

Are you answering my question about ShadowKeeper or about exceeding the level cap in BG1?

Thanks for the interpretation. Any idea on the level cap question? I heard that while playing both BG1 and the expansion that hitting the cap is pretty probable.

I don't know about BGT, but Shadowkeeper does work for BG1Tutu, though you do have to redirect Shadowkeeper to find the new directory of saves for your Modded game.

BG2 Tweaks contains an XP-cap remover, and the mod works for BG2, BGT, and Tutu.
