    Well, there are two in Amkethrn, both in the same quest: Malla's soulstone.

    The lich, VanGoethe, has the same name (and not exactly a common name), as Johann Wolfgang von Goethe,who wrote Faust in 19th century Germany - a pretty important novel - man sells soul to devil, that sort of thing.

    Marlowe, of course, is named for Christopher Marlowe, who was a contemporary of Shakespeare, and wrote a play version of the same story (an earlier version than Johann's).

    I suppose that "lots" is a bit of an overstatement - these are the only two I can think of... but that is a lot for a computer game these days.
