Their games had the spirit. However, Arcanum was killed by the graphics, the boring character stats system and the not so balanced fights. ToEE did have the feel of a real D&D adventure, but the loading times between combat turns were driving me mad. And I don't understand why it kept stuttering on a computer on which KotOR and NWN ran fine, if the game was isometric and not fully 3D. I liked it a lot and I mean a lot... until it tired me beyond even finishing. I had enough of it when I got to the Belsornig fight. I like tough fights, but their toughness should rely on having to think of a good strategy, not on just tweaking the monsters' stats and multiplying their numbers and coming up with still new uberpowers to annoy the player. Perhaps this is a wrong impression or maybe I did something wrong, but... This is one of the things I didn't like in ToEE, so far as combat goes. Maybe if the stuff hadn't stuttered and taken several minutes between each turn of combat, it would have been easier to try different strategies.

Anyway, there were things I liked and things I didn't like in the game. Although I have great memories associated with it, I couldn't make myself finish the game. As for Arcanum, I dropped it pretty early.

Whatever we say on the games, it's always bad to see Fallout devs get in trouble.
