    [IMG]What we asked:

Q: Which female Baldur's Gate 2 NPC did you find to be the most annoying?
    (1327 votes total)

    Aerie (359) 27%
    Nalia (273) 21%
    Imoen (209) 16%
    Jaheira (203) 15%
None of them bothered me (158) 12%
    Mazzy (80) 6%
    Viconia (45) 3%

Before anyone accuses me of sexism, YES, we will be running a male NPC version of this poll in the future as well.

This poll's "winner" is Aerie, considered the most annoying female BG2 NPC by more than a quarter (27%) of the poll participants.

The runner-up for the most annoying female BG2 NPC award is Nalia, with 21% of the votes.

Imoen and Jaheira are interestingly considered to be almost equally annoying, with 16% and 15% of the votes each.

Only 12% of those who have participated in the poll are patient enough to have voted that none of the female Baldur's Gate 2 NPCs have bothered them enough to be considered annoying.

Mazzy is obviously relatively harmless (or avoided...), with merely 6% of the annoy-votes.

The least annoying female Baldur's Gate 2 NPC by popular choice is, of course, none other than the drow Viconia. But we all know why that is, don't we...

I almost hesitated between Aerie and Nalia before deciding that Aerie was, in fact, FAR more annoying. Nalia seems to mature a bit by ToB, while Aerie is just as whiny even though by then she's the most powerful spellcaster in the game.

Mazzy's sense of righteousness is far less annoying than Nalia's and I would say she's the least irritating of the female NPCs - unless you have Valygar, at which point she undergoes a personality transplant and becomes disgustingly abusive.

Will there be a "more than one of the above" option for that one?

None of the Bioware females are even close of being as annoying as Saerileth.

I can understand some people finding her annoying: she's far more angsty than she was in the first game, and that can get grating at times (same problem with Jaheira). Actually come to think of it all the female NPCs except Mazzy are angsty to the point of annoyance, which may explain why she's so low down the list (Viconia's got other "qualities" that balance out her angst).

That said, I find the one banter Imoen has with Edwin in ToB more than worth having both of them along for the ride

I always found Viccy to be the most annoying simply because she never came across as a real personality, just some cheesy male fantasy (but then again female drow have always been some cheesy male fantasy). Mind you her spell resistance makes her too cheesy not to take along.

Jaheria's personality, I feel was an appropriate continuation of her character from BG, given the circumstances Irenicus put her in. I'd be more irritated if she wasn't bitchy.

Well, take into consideration what she's been through.

Would it not save time to just announce Anomen as the 'winner'?

Aeries' outburst at the Bhaal's temple was quite good though. Points to the voice actress..

Meh...my votes were torn between Jaheira and Viconia. In the end, I went for the former.
Aerie is relatively annoying, but I like her. And as everybody know, I'm a Nalia fanboy. Mazzy is the least angsty and most self-sufficient of all the female NPCs, so kudos for her!
