What languages do you speak? I've always been told English was one of the hardest to learn, of course, I can't know that, but lots of you guys might. I know most British people don't have a clue when it comes to other languages, which is a shame for them I suppose.

I learned some Italian, but I think that Italian is probably one of the easiest, and especially for me since I've studied music for such a long time. I still want to learn more, German next(because of the music connection too).

Finnish, Swedish, English quite fluently all of those three. Additionally I can speak some German and have studied it for a few years until I quit with it (which I regret quite a bit now) but I have every intention of continue with it in the future. Additionally I took some courses in latin so I know some of the basics.

English is not a difficult language to learn in fact it's probably one of the easiest. Naturally the media contributes to this but I never found anything particullary difficult in English and I've never heard anyone call it difficult. They do say that Finnish is very difficult and the grammar is most certainly more complicated than English.

Polish and English around the same level of practical use. More or less good Latin. Crappy French - but this is forgotten conjugation suffixes and participles, so I could revive it without too much effort if you cut me some slack with the accents. This is basically all. I can figure out probably most of Italian (from Latin and French), some Spanish, some German, but I haven't learnt German for years now and I'm just a lousy beginner in Italian. Thanks for reminding me to put some effort. :p

Irish and English, not quite perfect Spanish and French and Ulster Scots and enough to get by in other languages. In January I will be learning either Arabic or Turkish.

The only problem with Spanish is that I can't roll the 'r's.

Edit: What the hell is pig latin? Never heard of it.

Turkish as my native language, good English and "Je parle francais un peu." very very little French, but I am a new learner, I hope I will speak it well in the future.
I also know Java, C++ and Verilog :borg:

[IMG] English. Nothing else really :(

I've attempted French (4 years) and German (2 years) at school, also had a couple of Japanese lessons but that's only as a side hobby, was going to have Cantonese as well but the person running the club couldn't make it.

I used to speak Drow a bit however :D

Spanish is my native language. I can defend myself in English, and know enough of Italian and French to read some stuff (I can also curse in Italian in a most convincing way  ).

I can only say two things in German, and neither would be acceptable in these forums.

    Fluently: English, Spanish, German

    Decent: Italian, French

Most of the latin languages are relatively similar, so I can nearly always understand people speaking in one of them.

Some Japanese, but not really that fluent.

I am fluent in English, and am learning (and am not bad at) Spanish.

I want to learn German and Japanese, though, in college.
