Lag while casting shield- spells

    Subject says it all. My computer is more than enuff good for BG2 but it still keeps lagging. Any idea how to fix this? Its only happening when i buff whole party with spells like "fireshield red" etc.

    When i play IWD2 it doesnt lag.

    The Fireshields(in addition to the globe effects from Spell Deflection and trap), are a significant drain on your video card. That's why it is lagging IMO. Try somehow to increase the video RAM or simply cut out some graphics in SoA.

    Try to turn of some spell effects from graphics part of your configuration.

    Do you have mods installed? Carelessly installed lots of mods can really slow down the game in a good PC. (speaking from experience here)
