Kivan, Drizzt or Boo in your party?

    I was reading the big downloadable FAQ from this site and i said that you can use the console to put Kivan, Drizzt and Boo into your party. Although, Kivan has no sounds and Drizzt uses Korgan's voice...

    Has anyone tried this? I wonder if Kivan says anything when he gets to Tazok (in the windspear dungeon.)

    Maybe noone cares, but I tried those NPCs.

    Kivan has some strange dialogue when you use him....

    Boo is quite powerful which is funny...

    use the console and type...

    CLUAConsole:CreateCreature("Boo")

    Kivan looks the same as he did in BG, but Boo and Drizzt don't have portraits. Boo has a paperdoll image of a rodent, but Drizzt's is blank for some reason.

    To get to the console you have to type ctrl+spacebar when you are in the game.

    If that doesn't work, you haven't activated the cheats. You then need to go into your baldur.ini file in the bg2 directory and add a line that is CHEATS=1 or something like that.

    @Graz73 - correct me if i'm wrong but I think you should add debug mode = 1 rather than CHEATS = 1

    You're probably right about that debug mode thing. I heard both work. I think I used your method myself.

    Once I summoned those characters, I could talk to them, but to add them to my party, I had to put my mouse over them and press ctrl=Q

    I'm really surprised that some of you experienced players haven't done this. I'd love to know if anyone has gone through the whole game with Kivan, Boo, or Drizzt in their party... I'm late in chapter 6 and waiting for the expnsion, so I added Kivan to my party for a while. When you find him, he's only second level... Kinda odd...
