I'm getting frustrated, I downloaded the Kitanya mod and she won't initiate any dialogue I'm wanting to try the romance out but she won't initiate anything can someone please help??

 

Are you sure the mod is compatible with Enhanced Edition? I don't see an up to date version.

Is your character capable of romancing her? Many romances are limited by race and gender.

Have you tried talking to her manually? Some fan-made romances don't use timers.

 

Yea my character should be able to romance her with no problem.

Yea I've tried talking to her manually and it allows me to do that and she responds but it doesn't do anything else.

And I assume since it allows me to speak with her manually and the recruiting dialogue worked fine that it should be compatible with BG2:EE but I could be wrong.

 

Well, that makes things slightly more complicated. Make sure you have the latest version (v6.4.1) to avoid any potential bugs. It's hard to say if the mod is fully compatible with EE as I'm not sure what its installation method is (mods that come bundled with older versions of WeiDU are known to cause problems) or what game components it makes use of. The problems may not become manifest until you start playing, so it's mostly pointless to draw conclusions from what does work.

You can also open the savegame in EE Keeper and check if the variables (globals and locals) are set properly. If the mod follows standards, then the vars you're looking for are probably "KITANYAROMANCE" (I think standard values are 0 = not eligible, 1 = eligible, 2 = in love, 3 = over) and "KITANYATIMER" or "KITANYAROMANCETIMER" which should be a larger value counting down. Of course, there's no guarantee those are the names without having looked at the script. I could do that for you later if no one else jumps in.
