[IMG] In Windows XP, is it possible to disable specific keys? For instance, my laptop's built-in keyboard occasionally does a massive F1 button-mashing repeat that never ends. This is irritating in games such as the BG series, as well as with the constant help screens that keep popping up in other programs.

I've tried uninstalling the driver and using a USB keyboard, but the computer just automatically reinstalls the built-in one.

I appreciate any help, even if it's just sympathy!

By default, I don't think there's such an option. You might be able to find programs that do what you want, however...

Thanks Taluntain. I really appreciate the help. Do you know of one of these programs, or do you simply assume that someone has made them?

I don't mean to be rude at all, I'm just confused because of the ellipse at the end. Are they illegal or something? It sounds like you're referring to an illicit activity...

    What does your "..." mean?

In this case, that Google is probably your friend. ;) I assume there are programs out there that do this, but I don't know of any personally. So I suggest you make a few Google searches.

There wouldn't be anything illegal about such programs.

Thanks for the help! I didn't really think about the fact that somebody could have made a program such as this. I'll give Google a whirl.
