    Anyone ever see this?

I first noticed it when I was typing in the name for my characters, for some reason my key strokes wern't going through some of the time. So when I type or use any keyboard keys sometimes it just doesn't work. Only time it really bugs me is when I try to pause using the space bar. Some times i have to press it a few times before it works.

I tried installing the 2.0 patch but still had the problem.

    I'm running Win2k service pack4.
p4 2.2 ghz, ati radeon 9800pro, 1 gig of ram.

I tried running it in windowed mode and vice versa and going down to 800 x 600 but that didn't help things. Its like my keyboard lags, but only in the game.

that has happened to me in all infinity engine games, while using my wireless keyboard, i often have to press space several times before the game pauses. it's very frustrating during hard battles.

by the way, welcome to the board :D

    Thanks :)

I thought this to be something specific to IWD2, I played through BG1 & 2 and IWD and thier expansions and never had problems with keystrokes, I also just use a regular keyboard not wireless.

Do you find that the keyboard problems disappear when using a regular keyboard? Or did you only try a wireless.

I must admit I Have bin to lazy to try it, with a regular keyboard. my wireless keyboard has done that in many games, so in my case I think that is the problem. it was a pain when it did it in Max Payne 2, suddenly not being able to move during a fire fight is very annoying :) .
I'll plug up the old keyboard when I get home from work and test it.

I have found a slight lag occasionally. And Im using a normal wired keyboard.
Im running XP pro. Considering that the lag was never more than 2 seconds I didnt bother about it.
I always put it down to Windows acting up and running some routine functions.
I think there is no patch for it.
