Kelsey, the world's finest male human sorcerer NPC mod for Baldur's Gate 2, is now in release V2 for the Shadows of Amn portion of the game.

Kelsey brings you...

Spanish and German translations!

V2 adds hundreds of new lines of dialogue, including conversations with game characters, expanded interactions with the PC, and expanded romance conflicts with Anomen.

Dozens of audio clips have been either added or recreated for this release.

You do not need to start a new game in order to take advantage of Kelsey if you do not wish to do so.

You can find Kelsey in the Government district of Athkatla. He is standing near the Firecam Estate (at roughly 2000x2000, in the SW region of the map) and he will approach you and initiate dialogue.

Kelsey adds over two dozen new inter-party banters to the game, and interacts with dozens of "scenery NPCs" and enemies, as well.

Kelsey is a romance-enabled NPC, which means he will initiate a romance with a female PC who is human, elven, half-elven, or halfling. While we think the romance is an important part of Kelsey's character, he is still a valuable and talkative addition to a party with a male PC, or a female PC who simply doesn't think Kelsey is her type.

Kelsey is compatible with most other BG2 mods out there. It is packaged as a self-extracting installer, and you do not need any extra tools to add Kelsey to your game.

Kelsey is the product of over two years of hard work. On behalf of all who have contributed, we hope you enjoy.

 

I think someone should make a gay romance... that would seem politically correct anyhow.

Actually, I updated the TOB version last month because it had been longer since it had been upgraded. K-TOB 2.1 seems to be stable.

As I mention in the K-SOA 2 README, I basically consider Kelsey "done" at this point. Short of correcting bugs, I don't plan to add any new content to the mod, so these, with any luck, are the "final versions." I will likely add new banter for Kelsey from time to time in the Banter Packs mod, but that's probably all.

There is a lesbian romance mod in the form of Chloe...though there are a few nasty bugs that crop up occasionally. Still, Chloe is a cool NPC and a mighty fighter even for my male PC's party. I d/led her simply because I wanted a kensai NPC. It's only after she started hitting on Imoen that I realised her 'inclinations'.

Actually, she did mention them a few times earlier but I was too busy slaying paladins to take heed. It took her screwing my PC's half sister to really catch my attention.

It's a nice mod, anyway.

It's hard for any guy to be predjudiced against lesbians. (note the face and what it's doing. I know. I'm a sick evil ****.)

 

Actually, Kelsey is the only purely heterosexual new romance NPC out there.

Solaufein is bisexual, although the romance is substantially the same for any PC.
Chloe is lesbian.
Tashia gets an asterisk--she was written straight, but the author also compiled and released a "happy patch" that enables Tashia to romance females specifically because of player demand, which makes me consider it at least largely canonical.

Then when you look at the Bioware character-expansion mods, although Arnel's Nalia was straight, Mirrabbo's Imoen is bi.
