Keldorn the Cuckolded

Discussion in 'BG2: Shadows of Amn (Classic)' started by Lord Balduran, Nov 13, 2000.

  1. Most everyone's posts about Keldorn have said they let him work out the crisis on his own. Shame on you, deserting your fellow adventurer at his time of need!

    Here's what I did:
I told Kel to hunt down Sir William Thorpe and kill him. The other choices were 1)confront him, which had the same result, and 2) take it to court, at which point he leaves your party. Not sure if he comes back. Then I told him I'd go along and back him up, being the pal that I am. :D

Well, we went to Waukeen's Promenade to confront the usurper, and I told Keldorn not to fight him, but to go back to his wife. I also said I'd go with him.

So we get back to Kels house and he and the wife make up. Then she asks him to stay and I say, no he promised me he'd help find my friend (He is a knight after all). And he promises to come scurrying back home afterwards.
I must say I didn't like the way Kel's wife spoke to Brunhilde though. Everyone just HAS to point out that Brun is a Half Orc. I mean she doesn't go up to people and say "Hello ELFIE Meat Sack", now does she?

I tell ya half orcs don't get no respect...

I've always helped Keldorn out. Generally, I went with Keldorn to confront the man who's been bangin' his wife, then talk him out've killing the guy. After that, I always have him go back to his wife, though I've never picked him up again after this.

I remember in one of my games, he told me to pick him up in 2 days, but every other time, I've just released him from my service to be with his wife.

I haven't helped him any, since my party is mostly neutral and somewhat evil, I pick my battles. Aligning with a paladin (talking more of a real life thing) would make me less evil, and I'm sure it would lower his knightly "message" if he were allying with a sorcerer such as myself.

My rep is about 11, and I try to keep it floating from 8-12. I don't want to be hated or liked by all necessarily.
