Well it took me some time to pick up BG2, I've been busy. But now that I purchased it, I've run into an install problem. When copying the last CD it asks for CD # 5 instead of CD #4. And it wont install.

Anyone else hear of this issue? I just went to Interplay's website but no data on this one. Also no patches as of yet of course. Any help would be appreciated!

What?! That's got to suck. So what I suggest is don't install the whole game on your hard drive, only what is needed (or did you do this too?) That's a weird problem, I never encountered anything like that before when I installed it.

Yep, it sucks indeed. I of course went out and picked up the Collectors Edition and all.

Then this snag hit me. I will try the suggestion you gave however -ya know- the dont install the 'Full'....just the reccomended install.

Where is my mind? I should've attempted that! Maybe it was just a long day that I had -ahem.

    Thanks.

The CD 5 problem is one of the couple of known issues with BG2.
Go to the official BG2 boards and read the Known Issues section/topic (should be on top of the list).
It describes how to fix these problems there.

    I had that problem too.

I just canceled when it asked for disk 5 and started over (grumbling angrily to myself, I might add).

The second time went without a hitch.
