    [​IMG] Has anyone beat this thing that is on level two of the temple? I threw everything I could think of and missed 98% of the time.Any suggestions would be appreciated.One last question-Is it possible to make magic weapons or more powerful than what you can buy? If so, how?

    I killed him by having my fighter dwarf and Elmo fighting it while my cleric stood safely behind them and healed them.

    I gave Fragarach to one of my characters and whacked this juggernaut into bits and pieces. Wasn't so hard.

    Magic works. Put a couple of tank-like guys up front, doing all defense, heal them once in awhile, cast something simple like "grease" under its feet, and plink away with Magic Missiles until you run out. Then use arrows from the mage, and whack the big lobster with +1 crushing weapons for awhile.

    He goes down. Sometimes you end up dragging 2-3 deaders back to Hommlet for raising from the dead, though. Use the search function at the Atari spoiler forum and look for the keyword Juggernaut; several good tactical summaries exist in the older threads.
