It is a tremendous pity that the boy passed away. My heart truly goes out to Travolta and his wife.

AND my eternal contempt to those who use this tragedy as an opportunity to badmouth Scientology. I'm no fan of the organization, but those who use a tragedy like this in such a manner are the lowest of the lowlifes. There's a time and a place, and this ain't it.

In regards to the Scientology controversy, according to this link Jetts parents apparently did try for some time to medicate his seizures until they realized that the medication was no longer working for him.

Personally, I can't believe how much time the media is wasting on this. It's unfortunate when any person dies, but it's not like he was anyone that was in the public eye. Yes, the fact that it was Travolta's son probably justifies a brief mention in the entertainment news, but the amount of coverage this is getting is ridiculous.

I was going to say much the same thing Splunge but I think that the reason this has gotten so much coverage is because it is every parents worse nightmare that their child should die young and so it reaches the empathy of a lot of people. Also John Travolta is a much loved celebrity with the appearance of having a happy family life so the tragedy seems so much worse. With the added factor of the questionable 'faith' of Scientology is it any wonder that the media has blown this out of proportion?
