    I got the jan quest---where I helped out the seeker then he 'healed' the little girl BUT

    1. why did jan's uncle know about the mind flayer?
    2. how does the rest of the plot unfold? do I need to prod it?

    Huh, I thought Jan's uncle just points you to the Jystiff(??) estate to talk to that woman and she sends you to the Hidden. For the rest I don't know if anything else does even happen

    After you help the poor girl, that's final touch for that quest - Jan's uncle never mentions what happened and you never encounter Hidden again.
