    ok, i know there are LOADS of threads about this subject..but i can't find one that answers my question(no doubt someone will post a link showing me!).

    the time jaheira left and ran off to the harper hold..as she went tirminsel (or whatever) turned up and said something..then went away..he didn't give a pin..he just went.... i have dealt with all the harpers..but no dude with harper pin..whats going on? it is about 15 days since i saw any harpers!

    SPOILERS AHEAD if you haven't completed the Jaheia quests

    I guess from your message that you mean the grey haired old man turned up after Jaheira had left your party (for a second time). Well he is not supposed to give you a pin at this time. The pin is a Harper pin and only Jaheira can use/wear one. What he actually did during this vist was to drop some very big hints and a piece of paper/letter from Jaheira. were you paying attention ;). Anyway, read the letter and all should be obvious.

    If it is not obvious then BIG SPOILER - Jaheira has run back to the Harper guilds to try and help keep you out of trouble (bless her). What you need to do is go and find her in the Harper guild in the docks on the second floor. Things will make a bit more sense then. Remember only Jaheira can get the pin and wear it, so you must keep her in the party if you want to complete the whole of this quest.

    i have done all that..and killed dermin...when does the dude with the pin show up? it has been ages and i wanna go 2 spellhold soon..

    just run off to spellhold, doesn't really matter where you are. just dont complete the game before he shows up
