    Bioware has done it again!

I really liked the setting, the Asian elements were a nice change of pace. The combat system was great, and the story was top-notch.

Anyone else played this great game?

I was wondering when the first Jade Empire topic would appear. I've been playing it since last Friday and I love it. So far, the story hasn't been overly original, but it is still a great game.

Just out of curiosity, who are you playing with? I'm playing with Tiger Shen.

It is awesome. Great story, wonderful setting. Bioware still has the touch. I almost wish it was going to be on PC, but the controls wouldn't work too well. As it is, it's got me more excited about Dragon Age then I already was. My only complaint is that although the Open Palm/Closed Fist deal is much more grey then DnD, or even KOTOR, they still equated to good and exil a little too much. I would have liked to see a little more grey area. I wasn't too sure about the non-existant inventory at first, but I like it. That doesn't mean that I'd like it for DA, but it really works for Jade. I do wish there was some way to change the character's appearance. Great NPCs, also.

I played with the monk character from the special edition. Wound up Open Palm. I'm starting a new game with Radiant Zen Yi, and I'm not sure how she'll wind up.

By the way, gotta love the credits, especially what Zu has to say. And of course Li's little speach at the very end of the credits. "And you tore your head clean off. I comforted you, well your head, and told you that you could just walk it off, because it was a clean cut. And then you could punch a mountain. In space!" Just hilarious. :shake:

It's a xbox exclusive. The Bioware people say they're currently not making a PC version.

I played it through as Furious Ming, as a follow of the Open Palm.

    Yeah, the credits were great.

Hou was hilarious, too. Definately one of my favourite NPCs ever.

    Sir Roderick was awesome, too.

Did you guys know it is possible to have a gay relationship with Sky if you are a male? You can also have a lesbian relationship with Silk Fox, and if you are male you can have a Menage-a-trois with Dawn Star and Silk Fox :p

As far as I have heard the homosexual romances are different than the hetero counterparts, which I think it pretty cool. More replayability! :p

Gay and lesbian romances? In a BioWare RPG? *gasp!*

This should make the RPG Codex crowd start collectively slitting their wrists to make sure they're not dreaming... :shake:

It looks like a pretty good game and I'd probably buy it, if I wasn't completely skint, that is :p

Uh, couldn't you get gay with Juhani in KOTOR?
