Is it possible to get these NPC's together?

In one party, I'd love to have:

    Edwin
    Viconia
    Minsc
    Jaheira
    Imoen

These are the only NPCs to make it from BG1 into BG2, and I think it would be kind of cool to use these NPCs through the entire saga.

I also know there is a problem getting Minsc and Edwin together in BG1 (Dynaheir). Is there a way around this issue?

Actually, Abdel already did that, for the very same reasons. Minsc and Edwin have no problems so long as Dynaheir is not about. (At least, in BG1...) Grab Minsc, rescue Dynaheir, grab Edwin (he'll join you to keep an eye on Dynaheir), get Dynaheir killed, & head to the Bandit area to pick up Viccy.

Cool! I know there are tricks for BG2, so I won't get into them on this forum.

How do mixed alignment parties go about keeping their Reputation in the middle?

Same way evil parties keep it low, but less often. ;) Avoid rep-increasing quests that don't give you anything else, do something the evil way every once in a while for the rep drop, etc.

Or you can do what I do and let off steam at 18 rep by killing someone. I usually pick someone who's worth a lot of XP. Firebead in Beregost is my favorite.

How many xp's for Firebead? I'm not used to kill innocents ;)

Edit: Sorry Klorox - it was a bit offtopic. I'll make it better: If you are up to cheating, you could allways use the "happy NPC"s mod from Gibberlings 3 :)

    Drow hunting! ;)

After thinking it over, I don't think this party offers me the "tankage" I'd like. :(

You're supposed to have met Edwin, not to have finished the game with him (he even may be dead).
Normally you finished with Imoen, Khalid and Jaheira.
You had Viconia in your party up to the end or nearly the end, the same with Minsc and Dynaheir.

From what Minsc tells you in BG2, he could have split with Dynaheir, since you don't know about her whereabouts (but she must be alive at the end of BG1). You're a little surprised to find him there.
Viconia also has to tell you a story: That means she wasn't with you when you were jumped.

    PC + I + K + J = 4

    That leaves 2 slots for V, M, D

Maybe you play a long time with Minsc and let him go with Dynaheir later so you welcome Viconia.
Then you may recruit Edwin too.

Or you recruit Edwin and Viconia, let them go when your rep hits the sky, and take Minsc + Dynaheir. It seems easier.
Problem: Edwin wants Dynaheir to die; I don't know if you can ignore his wish.

Having typed this, I realise it wasn't the question... :)

Actually Minsc makes small reference to his Witch being killed. It's just not as part of his speach and everything as Khalid's death is. You actually have to ask Minsc directly about it and he wails over watching her death in the beginning of BG2.
