i was wondering if any of you beat him with a solo fighter (berserker, barbarian or monk)..... i'm asking because its a real pain to get to him throughout Watcher's Keep, so i'd rather know beforehand if its doable

well then i might pay him a little visit with my half-orcish barb... yet i wonder... i couldnt beat amelissan neither with my solo monk nor with any other fighter class char, and since Demogorgon is supposed to be tougher than Amelissan i still have my doubts.... well anyway its worth trying

You just have to be well prepared for these fights. thetruth actually solo'ed all of the improved BG2 fights, not just the Improved Demogorgon fight, using only a pure fighter. It's all in the link I gave.

i'm actually soloing with a half-orc fighter/cleric multiclassed, and i'm curious, did anybody here beat demogorgon with this kind of guy ? do clerics spells include an equivalent to mages' breach and protection from magical weapons spells ?

A cleric doesn't have anything equivalent to Breach, but he does have something almost as good as Protection from Magical Weapons if you have the Icewind Dale bonus merchant installed.

The bonus merchant sells a flail called Defender of Easthaven which gives you 20% resistance to all physical damage. The level 1 cleric spell called Armor of Faith will give you a maximum of 25% resistance to all physical damage. Finally, the Hardiness HLA will give you 40% resistance to all physical damage. These will all stack together for 85% resistance total. That is not quite as good as Protection from Magical Weapons, but it is close.
