Neverwinter Vault has posted an interview with another BioWare community member turn employee, this time catching up with Georg Zoeller in his new position as Designer working on the second expansion pack for NWN. Here is an excerpt:

    4) Is this your first time working in a gaming company? If so, has your impressions of BioWare changed now that you're on the inside?

I only worked for (European) non-gaming companies before, but somehow things are mostly like I expected them to be. Afterall, gaming companies seem not to be too different from regular software companies, through work is definitely much more fun, and there are less suits worn around (which a good thing).

    5) What does a technical designer do exactly? Are you working mainly on NWN? Have you started actual work yet?

I am part of the team working on the Hordes of the Underdark Expansion, writing scripting subsystems, custom creature AI, maintaining game-related data like 2da files and performing various testing tasks. Too bad I cannot be more specific on these things at the moment :).

Here is a link to the interview.
