    Hi people,

Just thought I leave this post in case it may help any others who encounter the same problem.

I installed Baldur's Gate2: TOB on Windows 7, it worked fine, but after a few plays it wouldn't start. Instead of having the play button show up on the start-up interface, the install button would be there, even though the game was fully installed. And guess what??? When you clicked on Install... nothing happened. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling many times, but always ended up with the same problem (plays for a few sessions then nada).

Eventually I found the problem; it was caused by Piriform CCleaner, a popular Registry cleaning program I use. It considers the installation location string to be an issue and puts it up for removal. So just add the "offending" Baldur's Gate2 Installation location string to the list of excluded jobs in CCleaner and it won’t trouble you again.

I played BGII to death when the game came out, but I don’t play very often now, which is why I only got to play a few sessions each time before I messed the installation up with CCleaner; what a chump eh?

Maybe nobody is as stupid as me to delete some old registry settings without checking them all thoroughly, but if you are, I hope this message helps you out.
