    I was reading this:

    http://www.sorcerers.net/Worlds/FR/24.php and

    http://www.sorcerers.net/Worlds/FR/25.php

and was really wanting to read more about the Northmen. I'm not very well versed on the FR, so does anyone know where I can find any more information on them so that I can create a character (I had a little look for some myself, but didn't really know where to look). Thanks for any help anyone can give.

BTW, I would rather make a Norse like character, rather than a Icewind Dale barbarian.

You can make a berserker prestige class... :D

If you don't know, berserkers are something like barbarians, only... more mad/crazy/fierce/whatever than the barbarians. When in their rage and there's no enemy nearby, they will attack the tress, rocks, walls anything. :D

Thanks Alexander, but I'm looking more for a background on where they live, traditions, way of life etc.

    OK, I found this:
    http://www.arts.usyd.edu.au/departs/medieval/saga/pdf/346-mundal.pdf
but you need acrobat reader(or something similar) to see it. It's in PDF format.

    I also found this:
    http://home.freeuk.net/elloughton13/village.htm
about Vikings' everyday life in a small village.

These are for their gods and mythology:
    http://www.gwydir.demon.co.uk/jo/nordic/index.htm
    http://www.pantheon.org/areas/
    (The second is my favorite)

    And this:
    http://www.brown.edu/Departments/Medieval_Studies/norse.html
    about Vikings in general.

This one has MANY MANY links to other sites concerning Vikings:

    I hope I helped you. :)
    This definately helped me. ;)

[IMG] Thanks Alexander, I'd kiss you if you weren't so utterly repulsive :p . All I have to do now is convert it to FR style.
