[IMG] I was just wondering, is there a place in NWN where enemies respawn infinitely so you can kill them for XP? A bit like the Fields of Slaughter in IWD2, where enemies show up every time you try to rest...

Not infinitely, iirc, but I've had Drow assassins appear when I've tried to rest in Undermountain in HotU. I managed to spawn & kill about 4 in a row before they stopped coming. That was in one of the secret passages on level 1, I think. As for the OC and SoU... I've no idea, sorry. In general, I find that if you can rest, it's safe. HotU was the first instance that I found where it was any different.

I'm sure that in the Shadow Plane in SoU, the Shadovar enemies will pop up all the time if you wait by the portals continually.

Also, when looking for the Dead Wind, there are those crypts that seem to spawn infinite zombies.

But the XP for those enemies is so low that you'd have to fight them for hours to get a noticeable amount of XP. And then all you'd achieve would be a higher level which would reduce the XP you'd get for future fights, so overall you wouldn't end up much ahead.

I've seen places where enemies keep respawning but resting is limited. You can kill as much as you manage to, but it won't be infinite. Not sure if the OC has those or only the expansions. The amount of XP is so crappy it isn't worth it.

It`s pretty boring, fight Shadowars for such a miserable xp. Not worth to spend time for that:)

Perhaps just a little if you're going to rest anyway. Or when you're minimally short of gaining a level. Or some such. Otherwise, it's pretty boring. I like the idea of getting some XP before resting, being able to lose some HP in the process as I'm going to rest until healed anyway.

Yea, it's good, when monsters awaken you and give you some extra xp and some few gold coins.

There is a pillar in chapter 2 that you are supposed to press runes on ("Nether Shall Rule," or some such). Whenever you press a wrong rune, two skeleton warriors spawn and try to kill you. You can do this infinitely without resting.

In chapter 3, in the snow globe, you can kill an infinite number of dryads and/or dwarves without resting.
