[IMG] What in game disasters have you had? A recent disaster negating hours of play was - charming Cromwell and then picking his treasure chests. Next time you visit he turns hostile, yelling 'thief!' and therefore no more created items.

In Watcher's Keep, the labyrinth level's room, the wild magic zone. Althought it didn't negate much playing, my heavily casting party faced disasters. Still, it was pretty funny, my PC started as elven male sorcerer and ended up as female wolf with 0 gold. Also there was quite a horde of demons at one point, as well as cow's falling from the sky and birds flying.
Nuking there can be one of the funniest things in the whole game :D

A easy way to get around the Cromwell thing yelling thief and what not, in theory anyway, is to cast blindness on him. He can't catch what he can't see.

[Edit] Oh and my most recent disaster was when I summonned a demon, just a lesser demon, but anyway I was using a spellweaver (wild mage addition mod) and I got a wild surge of roll 3x 1 was sex change, 1 was gate and the last was cast 2x... now that on its own isn't bad, but when combined with a spondanus spell cast I ended up with about 16 pit fiends running around the Copper Cornet.

Beat Abazigal, resurrected Viccy and moved out. Got to Amkethran, and slept for a while.

Then realised Viccy's gear was on the floor of Abazigal's lair.

    Returned, and it was gone.

4 unique +5 weapons, dragon scale armour, numerous magical amulets, cloaks, boots, and all 75 of my healing potions I'd stockpiled for the last battle.

I quickloaded, and was quickly staring at an uninjured Abazigal with a fighter/mage with 35 hit points left.

Cue much running, hiding, sleeping and casting.

    I HATE dragons...

In the demon maze. The room where you fight a banshee with a lot of spirit slaves. My four fighters race across the room to kill the witch all tripping a petrification trap followed immediately by a fireball trap. 3 members of my team wiped off the face of reality. Not such a big deal considering I could reload, but traumatizing none the less.

I arrived in the Bridge district for the first time in the game, and immediately the first Harper battle spawned. No biggie, except poor Lieutenant Aegisfield decided to get helpful and join the fight; he was promptly incinerated by the Harpers. Not really a disaster, since I had an autosave right before, but I did feel bad for the guy. Plus, who would I have gotten my Tanner reward from?

Mazzy leaving in disgust when I sided with Bodhi and taking all the really good magical items with her.

[IMG] In the Firkaag dungeon, having done the maze and fought off an ambush my mage/thief, Nalia and Anomen all merrily head down a corridor to next destination, not realising that Aerie (silly bint) had taken a 'scenic route' or 'detour' down another corridor.

My party stops and a big scroll of combat started ("that's odd" - I thought). Meanwhile Aerie was being ripped apart from some Wolfwares/Werewolves. Dead in less than 10 seconds. I guess they did not care that she had lost her wings! - nor did I!!! Moaning moose!

Soon swapped her for Big Val! ;)

Hmmh, if I may add, about BG1, the damn issue that causes monsters to spawn again when you quicksave. So anyways, I were at the map with sirines and the hidden tome and all that, the one near ocean. And there I go, quicksaving all the time. When I then reloaded once, there were about 50 hobgoblins in place of the reqular 5 or so. My party was level 2-4 back then, got seriously wiped out when they got me unprepared.
Next time the good old Necklace Of Missiles and some webs helped really :D

    Just had another one!

Soloing (for the first time!) with a F/M/T, I just finished off the anti-magic goons in the Planar Sphere. Telos gives me the rune, I head off to the Crooked Crane, climb the stairs, get ready to click the rune...and it's not there. Couldn't for the life of me figure out what happened, until I finally realized...

During the fight with goons at the Sphere, I cast Mislead and went back-stab happy all over the place. After I finished everyone off, Telos came back...and gave the rune to the "Mislead-me". Rune gone.

It took me FOREVER to find it on SK and plug it back into the game. (For the curious, it's listed under "wands"...one of the LAST things to check).
