[IMG] I was thinking of a druid with Str of only 10, but Dex 18 and weapon finesse. Does the weapon finesse give any advantage when using flame / ice blades?

If not, to what weapons weapon finesse actually works? I was under the impression that it gives bonuses to any weapong that uses the small blades proficiency, but am not sure.

[IMG] There's an Ease-of-use mod component that activates magical weapon finesse. Without it, don't expect any magically created melee weapons to be finesse-able.

Forget weapon finesse. Small weapons + low strength = nearly no damage. You'll do far more damage with an halberd or spear and without having to waste a feat for this.

Hmm. It might be that it is a bug (the spell descriptions would back this interpretation) or it might be a game balance thing. It's just that I see quite little reason to use elemental blades with characters who have reasonable strength scores.

Oh well, I think I'll just install the ease of use mod.

I've never tried elemental blades and they seem good enough on paper to kill opposing element creatures if the character can hit them often enough. I've got four more melee capable characters (barbarian, rogue, cleric, bard). The druid will be a rather pure spell chucker and archer so her strength becomes less of an issue.

I'd get far more effective characters by min-maxing, multiclassing and by using humans instead of a party consisting of only half orcs and half elves as well.
