is there any good tactic for a solo sorcerer to deal with the rakshasa ihtafeer and her gang?

i am currently level 10 sorcerer.

seems like they are immune to anything the sorcerer can throw at them.

In my solo F/T/M run I pickpocketed the efretti from the genie and used that, but obviously you can't do that. You need weapons better than +1, I think. If you're a sorcerer, you can only throw Summons at them; but they'll usually Death Fog them - but not always. Otherwise, wait for spells like Lower Resistance, or use scrolls. Keep in mind you only need to deal with Ihfateer - the other two rakshaka aren't necessary for the quest.

So: lower Ihfateer's resistance, throw summons at the other two to keep them busy, have stoneskin/mirror image up, and pound her with magic spells. Good luck.

Lower resistance won't work. Rakshasa are immune to spell lvl 7 or lower. The things that may work are indeed buffed summons. Here's what I suggest:

Obtaining the Golem Manual from WK, lvl 1. It is an invaluable item in fights vs Rakshasa.
Killing Tarquee for his Efreeti Bottle. Pickpocket is out of question, but killing Tarquee is not. In fact, killing those Trademeet genies is even more profitable than completing the Ithafeer quest. Why? Here:

    1. If you haven't talked to Khan Zaraa about the rakshasa, you can buy all sorts of valuable potions from the rakshasa in his human form. This option is apparently unavailable if you choose to hunt the rakshasa - afterwards talking to him always troggers combat.
    2. You'll get 15 000 xp points and the Bottle + Rashad's Talon for killing the three genies, while otherwise you'll only get 10 000 xp for returning Ithafeer's head. And no Efreeti bottle!
    3. You'll receive your reward immediately after killing the genies - the Shield of Harmony and the gold&gems.

For killing the Trademeet genies, you'll need a Shield spell, a Protection from Petrification spell or scroll, and some sort of Electricity protection - like Boots of Grounding + Proelec green scroll. Their script allows them to cast spells even at an Improved Invisible character. After using Flesh to stone, they usually charge in melee, so Sunfire will fry them. And do not forget that the Efreeti from the bottle can be turned against them...

Kitthix is also good vs the Rakshasa if he succeeds in poisoning some of them. Apparently, Ithafeer is immune due to his Periapt.
The berserk warrior from the Horn is also a good summon.

You can summon all four of those, and buff them with at least Haste, preparing your Sorcerer with MMMs, mirror image and the like and after that initiate combat.
BTW: The Rakshasa in this battle don't use Death Fog, but Cloudkill, which will kill only Kitthix. And also Chain Lightning spells, so protect your Sorcerer form Elec.

I don't know what familiar you are using, but you can pickpocket Ihtafeer's head from her if you have a familiar that can pickpocket.

This can be done only in the unmodded game. I believe that certain fixpacks prevent this exploit.
