Just to follow up my previous news post on IGN's rating of the top 100 best games of all times, across all platforms.

Super Mario Bros. was chosen as the winner, and the top 10 was very dominated by Nintendo games. StarCraft was the best computer game at 7th place, and of the games covered at SP, Baldur's Gate was the only one who made it to the list at place 63.

That list wasn't very good at all. I agree with Mollusken, it was far too much dominated by console (especially Nintendo) games. But it is their opinion.

That list is so heavily Nintendo biased it's not even funny. Many of the games do deserve to be there, but they greatly ignore Sega, Turbo GrafX 16 (which had some killer games) and several good PC titles. I don't give it any validity at all. Though, I was impressed that it cited Ultima Underworld and a few others.

[IMG] number 46 - Conker's Bad Fur Day!

What a game! I loved that game! It's got to be in my top 3, if not number 1 or 2, of all time! It was just amazing!!

Erm, as these are the best games as opposed to the most revolutionary games then there are a hell of a lot of games that shouldn't be there. And Ocarina of Time of BG should have taken the #1 spot IMO.

I wonder where heroes II or at least Heroes III is. Baldur's Gate should have been higher and half life should have been much higher. But that's just my opinion.

Not a single list ever made comes close to the truth, which is I'm afraid never to be realized.
