Bardsong: That's correct. The Bardsong script will switch to the most appropriate song for the given situation (assuming the bard can play the particular song).

Script Compiler: Sorry, I tried responding to this yesterday but the boards were all poo-poo.

To answer your question, we won't be releasing the script compiler until after the patch. Unfortunately there just isn't enough time to get the documentation in a presentable state right now. Since there have been so many changes to how scripts work, it'd be almost impossible to do any scripting without the docs.

Text Area: Sorry, but due to the redesigned interface, the text area is not resizable.

More on AI Scripts: There is a bug with the Rogue Sneak script that prevents it from hiding after unhiding via starting to search for traps. It's a bug in the engine that should be fixed with the next patch I believe.

Regarding characters shooting into melee, I've never seen this happen. If someone can send me a savegame that shows this behavior, I can try to see about fixing it.

Di, there are two ranged scripts. One is a ranged ONLY script, the other will switch between ranged and melee based on distance to the target. Note that once they choose a weapon and start attacking, they'll attack for one round before switching weapons.

As for the cleric script, it seems to be working just fine. If someone can send me a savegame that shows this faulty healing behavior, I should be able to fix whatever is causing the cleric to not heal.

BTW, the scripts do not spontaneously convert memorized spells into healing spells.

You can send savegames (zipped, please) to icewind@blackisle.com

    Thanks.

Cleave: Greater Cleave is the same as Cleave, except that if the Cleave attack kills the target, your character will attack the next nearest enemy. If that Cleave attack kills that enemy, you'll get another Cleave attack against another enemy (provided they're close enough).

It's comedy gold watching a high level fighter get surrounded by some goblins and have the fighter kill 8+ goblins that only counts as the first attack for that round. *evil grin*

When your character with Cleave kills something, you should notice that it immediately turns to face the nearest enemy and takes a swing at it. If you have the Attack Rolls option turned on, you'll be able to notice that the attack is at the same BAB that the previous attack was at.

Domain Spells in the Manual: Those are spells that are available as a domain spell to a cleric of that diety. So if you see "Bane", then a cleric that is a Dreadmaster of Bane will be able to cast that spell. The number signifies what level they can cast the spell at.

Smite Evil: Yes. I believe it gives your Charisma bonus as extra damage. Can't remember. No room for a paladin in the Hands of Fury!

Fortitude Save Allowed on Harm Spell: Oh, whoops. I guess we messed that one up. Shucks.

Hook Horrors: Actually, hook horrors "by the roolz" are big pushovers. They really suck.

MySQL database errors: Hello, my friends. Jake "Jaegermeister" Devore set the max_connections on the MySQL database up to 750 (it was previously 100). The server should be able to handle the load. So, if you see any more of those goofy white screen/line 40 database errors, please report them to the Overseer account.

    Damien Foletto, Designer

Sub Race Dialogues: There is another encounter that notices aasimar and tiefling sub-races. It's later in the game; chapter 6 to be precise. The latter more than anything. It'd be nice to have the luxury of time to put in all the features we wanted. Next time, hopefully.
