I never noticed this before and I was curious if anyone had it happen to them.

I made a BG2 party and had a Keldorn with Dex 9 which is -1 penalty.

When he was walking along near Galloway's in Targos he "slipped over"! That is he actually was walking, lay down suddenly then got up again.

I thought it may have something to do with his low dex, since I have never had a character with less than 10 before.

    Any ideas?

[IMG] lol! Maybe it's like the 9 int penalty in NWN where you can't talk so well.

I wonder if there are any other penalties like this. Maybe Keldorn was just tired :p

Nice. Good they thought about making minmaxers' lives less easy. If only they had implement low wis/int penalties. For example in understanding briefings, receiving directions, interrogating people for information :D Or people running away from 6 CHA dwarves or half-orcs.

or snapping a bowstring if you have a high strength..
that would be bad though - on the other hand, it would make the game more realistic. just like in BG2, you had to have a certain strength to use long bows etc.

That's cool, a "clumsy" factor. I like finding out hidden gems like that. I have never noticed anything else like that but will look out for it from now on.

Strength factor should be set for weapons. For armour weight allowance is more important and max dexterity bonus that falls rapidly. But weapons are a different thing: in all honesty, can you imagine a man of average strength fighting half an hour with a normal size and weight longsword?
