    Eh? 3e in IWD? Not exactly possible... Could you clarify your post?

    3E rules apply to IWD2, not IWD1. I suppose it's possible for someone to create a mod that does what you're asking but I've never heard of one being done.

    Well there was the Icewind Gate, or Baldur's Dale, or whatever mod, who mixed the Rules(3E), GUI of IWD2 with the original BG.
    After he was done, he would try it for TotSC, BG2, TOB, IWD, and HoW, I don't know how far he got, but the last time I heard he was looking for testers.

    I've been waiting for the Icewind Gate mod for about a year now. And I'll still waiting. It'll be finished one day and maybe the mod can be adapted to IWD as well.

    The fact remains that you can't play a half-orc barbarian in IWD.

    I suppose you could create a human fighter and give him +2 STR, -2 INT and -2 CHA, with Dalekeeper.

    @Jesper898: Don't want to be picky, but those are the 3rd rules. In BG/IWD it is only a +/- 1 bonus. Might need to check BG2 for exact bonuses.

    Best way is what everyone has said and that is to simply use Human and do the +/- on the stats and change the portrait. Simple, but effective. Plus, there isn't barbarians in IWD, so you might need to look at modifying some of the fighter skills as well.

    @Bard: You're right, I forgot that IWD 1 is 2nd edition :)

    Well, to make it simple, just use a normal human fighter and change what you need with DaleKeeper, Extremist forbid, and to make him a barbarian, simply give him Minsc's barbarian rage ability from BG1 as it is included in the game files.

    yeah, and I wanna buy coke (I mean coca-cola) for all the people in the world and I want World Peace in the world and so... etc.

    [ snip ]

    Dude... you are hillarious. The game is fantastic without barbarians and half-orcs. If you want that - go and play IWD 2.
