I still can't get into Friendly Arm Inn

    [​IMG] I hope this is the right place to put this question. I can't seem to get into the chatroom even though I followed some advice that told me I should download and install Java Runtime Engine... I did that and I'm still getting a grey screen where the people are supposed to be chatting. When I first go to the Friendly Arm I get a pop-up window that asks if I want to install conference Room Java and when I choose "yes" it does nothing but dissappear that pop-up. Can you help me please? I wanna chat with other gamers:confused:

    I had the same problem and MIRC didn't help.

    (I'm still looking for a solution myself as the only time I can go there is when I spend a week at my aunts house during the summer)

    Sun's Java Runtime is the cause.
    Open Internet Explorer and do choose this:

    Tools
    Internet Options
    Advanced (panel)

    And there just find and disable (deselect) Java Sun - "Use Java 2 v1.4.0 for...".

    Thankyou for another idea but I don't have Sun's Java Runtime in my advanced panel under internet options:alien:
    I only have Java Console/Java Logging/JIT compiler of virtual machine listed in that catagory. JIT compiler is the option that is enabled and it is also the defalt option. Can you think of anything else? mIRC does indeed not work for me :hmm: Thankyou all again for your imput.

    [​IMG] If mIRC doesn't work for you, nothing will. mIRC is foolproof - if it doesn't work, you're either behind a firewall and haven't configured it in mIRC, or on such a connection that does not allow IRC connections under any circumstances.

    I'm having the same problem, and I did get in sucessfully last week. I'm not fond of mIRC, and would prefer not to use it. Any other suggestions?

    load: class ConferenceRoom not found
