Ok I started having problems with my team when I got to the point where I had to fight Isair and Madae. I lost to them so many times it wasn't funny so I cheated to win. Now I'm in HoF mode and I switched 3 characters already and now I'm thinking about changing Alexandra (Bard) with a Bard/Rogue

    Should I make the switch?

P.S: Alexandra the Bard was a Moon Elf so I can't change her into a Rogue without getting a Muti-Class penilty and Alexandra was my rogue even though she was a Bard but I gave her rogue skills.

    Help me plz

^Why do you need Rogue Levels? Bard is a powerful class, they have the ultimate killer WailofTheBanshee and summoning spells are VERY important in HoF. Rogues have SneakAttack but it is not worth it at all cos it needs tons of micromanagement and thus NOT efficient. Cast a WoB and watch badguys crumble and die one by one! COOL!

^WHY didn't you ask for advice against ever annoying Isair and Madae? Cheating is evil AND it CORRUPTS. I could have helped! I beat them in HoF in a a few minutes with no real damage to my powergamer party. Though it was not as fun as my very first tries(my newbie times, I tried 10+ times and was about to get REALMAD! But it was GREAT fun regardless to see my ever-precious party members to be so helpless and desperate!..That is until I found the proper strategy for me .) It seems I do like a little masochizm for my games. :D

I didn't ask for advice on beating Isair and Madae because I didn't know about this website until this month.

    Hmmm...OK I'll keep the Bard. :) Thankyou.

P.S: YOU BEAT ISAIR AND MADAE IN A FEW MINUTES!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! *falls down*

^LoL and it was in HoF no less. If you take counter-measures (Do previous quests to weaken them and get monk allies, taint their pool, dispel the immortality of demons and kill them before battle, kill invisible mage who summons a lot of headache fast, use protection from magic scrolls on twins to dispel their protections and nullify their spells, buff and summon like crazy, oh also use Halberds of the North, they have too much damage resistance in HoF but Madae is WEAK to cold damage, she takes bonus damage from it! She will die FAST.) they are not too tough. I do not know your party so this is all the advice I can conjure for now.

If you ask me, Slayer Knights of Xvims in HoF are SOO MUCH powerful than Isair and Madae can ever be in their dreams. AND they have 4 of them in the very last battle! TOO POWERFUL, I avoid them or delay with summons and kill Isair or Madae quickly.

Summons is the way to go, although I'd recommend casting Holy Aura immediately after you've reached the maximum summons limit. We wouldn't want Madae Mass Dominating those hasted Red Abishais and Greater Wolfweres. (unless you opted to summon undead or elementals)

The best way for any party to deal with the last battle, imo, is to flee towards the far eastern section of the hall immediately as the battle starts. Ormis Dohor and co. should give your party enough time to prepare themselves and if you use the area to your advantage, Madae will most likely end up wasting her Blasphemies and Symbol:Stuns on your summonlings while your party is elswhere killing everybody else.

Don't multi-class a Bard with anything unless you want him to stay at lvl 11. The Bard is a Cleric who decided to trade Holy Aura and Holy Word with Wail of the Banshee and Power Word:Blind (and it's not like he can't cast Holy Aura and Holy Word as well, via scrolls :p ) and who traded Festering Drowned Dead and Apocalyptic Boneguards with controllable Gelugons. And it's not like he can't buff his summons with Emotion:Hope, haste, bard songs... (although a cleric is still a cleric, and you'd be doing your party harm by not taking one)

*drools* Wail of the Banshee....I love watching everything die that's around me. heheheh But I better make a new bard cause Alexandra is messed up cause I forgot all about the Bard's need for charisma.

^Yes it is such a powerful spell, after a Malison, Chant, Prayer, Recitation, (to lower saves to make sure it works) nearly EVERY mean opponent will fall to it. (except undead or VERY TOUGH guys) It makes some areas in HoF kinda boring though. Just hold your front-line fighters alive or delay badguys with HEAVY summons until the caster releases WoB (soo long casting) and BANG! Battle is over (or nearly over). Not the great tactical challenges like in BG2 but this game sure has its own pretty charm. Even I hate SPIFFY 3E rules I still finished this rather CUTE game err...3 or 4 times? (and
    also in HoF)

If your party is all evil characters, I think you'll be immune to Blasphemy or at least affected less. Of course, that's only one thing, you still have to face their petrification attacks and the rest. And if you're good-aligned, you can try and freeze one or more of them with Holy Word. They both have really good saves, but if you get lucky you might catch them.

I believe, you actually don't have to beat both of them - they'll be defeated if you get one of them to "Badly Wounded" or lower. And I also believe - correct me if I'm wrong - that they both count as Demons, so if you have a cleric or paladin with the Fiendslayer feat he does extra damage when he hits them.

^As I stated above, using Protection from Magic scrolls on them (found in Wandering Village and Monastery) this will DISPEL their protections AND nullify their spell casting!!! You won't be able to cast spells on them but your spellcasters must be busy summoning+buffing+healing already and if Isair or Madae can not cast spells they are easy picks for your fighters (and if they use Halberd of the North then..hehe.)

Trust me, you will not want Isair to cast Black Blade of Disaster and going Improved Invisibility while Madae constantly Blashpemying you, Mass-Dominating and Harming any by-passers and actually HEAL herself when wounded, not to mention TONS of protection spells on them (BAD as IWD2 does not have a reliable BREACH type spell) (DAMN TWINS!!) and with their ACs, saves and resistances...(What is their AC in HoF? My ranger missed with a 43) (and they have 20 pyschial damage resistance?) (DAMN TWINS!!)

    "(DAMN TWINS!!)"

Hehehe, i sence a certain seal..... in your feelings towards these two twins ;)

personally i think using these scrolls a tad to wrong, it kinda ruins how the fight was supposed to be played. but granted, neither do i like beeing teleported into the middle of their summoning chamber *sigh* i hate it when they *teleport* me into a bad defensible position.. ugh.... its one of the things i hate the most in these games. That most difficult encounters is becose you get surrounded and have to fight in all directions. Its okie a couple of times, but not once every chapter.

uhm.... ranting off. heh. thats all folks.

^Indeed, I really HATE them but at the same time pity them...when they fell so easily in HoF to my uber strategies and god-like PCs... :)

*bows down* You guys are IWD2 gods *worships you*

The fight was meant to be played by create creaturing the twins then ctrl+q the twins then make them fight the evil twins so it's like Isair and Madae VS Isair and Madae. I thought you knew that.

Or alternitively just fight them normally.

HoF is stupid I mean c'mon goblins that have more power then a dead person? That's like saying Hitler took over the world.

Anyways I HATE ISAIR AND MADAE!!! But I'll try what you said ^^.......>.< when i get to them in HoF....i meant if you know cause I love the normal IWD2 more then IWD2 on steroids.

^Actually HoF is more fun than normal, but I just like powergaming, doing cheese, and defeat more powerful enemies (Even though HoF seems unfair to players, it is DOABLE. jsut do not give up.) (I was nearly crying when BeastLord Harshorn and his goons slaughtered ALL OF MY PARTY for the sixth time in HoF but I didn't let this mere fact to discourage me? Neither should you!!!)

Joking I know what you mean by cheese.

I suppose I should try finishing HoF

@I Am A Banana: You do realise that Isair and Madae are pushovers once you prepare to a decent level?

Of course, if you go naked against them you are going to get pwned...but otherwise, they're easy pickings mate.

Have you read the JUPP? Its in the tips and tricks section for IWD2 on this site. Have a read...even if you dont follow the party, VERY useful information for ANY IWD2 player IMO.
