    What patch(es) do I need?
    What mods do I need?
Any other mods that are suggested?
What order do I patch/mod the game?
    Where do these files go?

I'd really love to take a small (3 or 4) character party through the whole game. Please help me make it happen! (I will be able to import all of my self-made characters from BG1 into BG2, right?)

I'm going to start with a fresh install of both games.

    TIA

You need to do a full install of Baldurs gate and Baldurs Gate II, and then patch them. Then install any mods you use and then DL EasyTutu and isntall it. As for where the files go, they make their own folder and it just uses parts of the games, and doesn't touch any of the BG and BG II files.

Umm, does Easy TuTu require ToTSC expansion? Or can it work without it? Do you have the ToTSC then, Klorox?

Also, all TuTu only mods work with Easy TuTu, righto? I may use Easy TuTu next time around! :)

I'm not sure, I think you do need ToTSC, but the best person to answer that will be Macready

Yes, EasyTuTu is the same TuTu. Just makes it a lot easier to install than the original one.

You will also need to make a full install of BG1 and TotSC. If there is no option for full install go into custom install and select evey box. I made that mistake and had to reinstall. :p

Macready have a very good and clear homepage concerning EasyTutu. It also has a list of recommended files for Easy Tutu. You can find the homepage here

Cmorgan has at G3 created a great list wich lists all compatible mods used on Tutu/easytutu. It's found here

    Yes, thank you.

Brallrock, you're sure you need to install mods and then install EasyTutu?

That doesn't make sense to me since you should be able to uninstall BG1 and BG2 after Tutu is installed.

I recently bought the whole BG stuff, so now I own them all, including expansions.
This TUTU thing, then the BG trilogy, what they do?
I last played BG2 about 2 years ago, so I used Kelsey, Solaufein, Ascension, Redemption, EasyofUse, Tactics, Unfinished Business, and some other minor stuff. What's new around? I would like to play and find some new things. I found Quest Pack and I may try Tashia too. Are there new NPCs?
I'm downloading The Darkest Day, and from what I read is a very big mod, I already downloaded Return to Trademeet, this big mods seems to require fresh installations of the game so I may try them after finished this run.
The BG Trilogy makes you play BG1? I read that you can continue with your BG1 party to BG2. So, is this mod compatible with Quest Pack?
Readmes say they are, but some says it should be installed first while in other readme says otherwise. I'm really lost about mods install order.

http://modlist.pocketplane.net/ if you want to be overwhelmed by the amount of stuff available.

Amber is a lovingly made new NPC, Sword and Fist gives monks a revamp, Divine Remix has had a refresh or three and is good if your Bhaalspawn is a cleric/druid.

Sorry Klorox for squezzing in your thread, just didn't want to make a new thread for a tiny little question. Once easytutu is installed can I uninstall BG1 and still uses tutu?

I got EasyTutu to work, but my character started off with 6 Bhaalspawn abilities. Does this always happen?

BTW, are you limited to the 161,000 XP cap of TotSC with Tutu?

Nope. My assassin started with only her poison ability.
[disregard] That's something Macready was intending to fix. It may be in his most recently released version, or it may be on hold, but it will be addressed. Those with an earlier version will have SoA or ToB caps, which is basically unlimited for the amount of XP you're likely to get in BG1 (even solo). [/disregard]

EDIT: Ah, sorry. Misremembered a thread from two and a half weeks ago. The original problem was a TotSC cap in non-TotSC games, which was presumably fixed between then and the recent release. Sim's probably got the right on this one.

Tutu has always implemented the BG1 XP cap. The latest version distinguishes between TotSC and non-TotSC caps. You will not have the SoA or ToB cap unless you install the XP cap remover from G3 Tweaks.
