[IMG] when I casted a Melf's Acid Arrow on a Dark Elf that got Spell Turning... hehe, my Sorcerer also got the Cloak of Turning, and I saw the arrow going from me to him, him to me, me to him and so on... to finally hit him *grin* :), really funny :).

...on this example you can truly see the marvelous development of Ping Pong from the early stages of ConsoleGaming (anyone remembering this?) to PCGaming nowadays...

You mean like Colecovision, Atari 2600, and Intellivision? Never heard of them. I'm too young to remember. ;)

Ah ah, damn, yes I remember my Atari 2600, my first experience with computers (with the Texas Instrument TI80, orange screen, ah ah)... he he, space invaders, berserk were nice games...

But, I must say that I prefer Melf's Arrow Ping Pong, lol :).

Ahh yes the good old days.

    I remember when I first got a Commodore Vic-20.
Man was that machine loaded. Tape drive, 3.5 KB of standard memory with an 8 KB expansion cartridge.

I remember playing omega race for hours.

I just realize that I'm really dating myself here!

If I still had an atari, I'd probably still play the thing. Loved pac man and pit fall, among others. Had one good joystick and one bad one, so I'd always try to pass the bad one off to friends :) Then came Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Genesis, and finally the wonderfull world of computers. Haven't looked back to the consoles yet.

Jesus, you guys are OLD. Compared to me anyway, I doubt there is anyone younger than me on this board. State your age please. I once saw an Atari, in a museum.

    Coleco Vision!

Man, that system rocked. It was the flagship of the console era back then and cleaned up the Atari, Intellivisions and whatever else there was.

I loved my Coleco Vision. Great graphics, great colours, great selection of games.

Also had the Coleco Vision Atari add-on that let you hook it up to the Coleco Vision and play Atari games.

That was a bad thing for me though because once that happened, all I got were crap Atari games for christmas or when my dad went to the US on business that's all he'd bring back as they were cheaper than the Coleco Vision games.

    Syl...

Commodore 64! I forgot about that one!

Activision always had the best games for Atari; they still make pretty good games, for the PC.

D&D on Intellivision? Never saw that. Thought Intellivision was just sports games. I used to play something D&D-like on my friends C64 - forget what it was called but I think it's still around as a series of PC games. It was very, very primitive back then but addictive. Anyone know which one I'm talking about?

    How was the Intellivision D&D?

P.S. And carbon dating reveals my age as a creaky 31. :(

The game was so good!! The sound where frightening. You had a bow, you shooted at monster in labyrinth, and at the end of the level, you fighted with a dragon. It was funny. And you always hear the roaring of the final dragon in the distance.

[IMG] My favorite game was Lode Runner for the Commodore 64.

My buddies and I would skip school, get high and play that game all day and night.

    Man! Those were the days...sighhh.

Good thing I didn't have anything like BG2 back then or I may not have graduated HS. ;)

No, that's not the one. Now it's driving me crazy. It was a game that has had many generations (Whatever II, Whatever IX) and I think it still is around as a PC game called Whatever X. I just can't think of the damn name. It was a pretty big game back in its day. You were a little blip and you would enter solid-color rooms and cast spells or fight the monster therein.

[IMG] Just went and checked out some game titles at Amazon...and think I found it.

I'm pretty sure the C64 game was "Ultima," in its very first incarnation.
