[IMG] I finally got PS:T and now I'm going to start. It looks cool, although its a little different for sure. So far I like it, but I've just come off the table and I haven't saved or anything, so I'm just checking it out. Cool.

You're in for a treat then. I actually found the starting area a bit dull and thought I might not like the game at first. It really took off for me when I got outside. So if you think it's cool now.....

Just before I get flamed by someone, after I got into the game I began to realise how effective the opening really was in terms of setting the scene, helping you to get to grips with the game and making you feel like the Nameless one (i.e. no idea what was going on).

    Anyway, have fun.

It is the best game of this genre but be warned. This is not hack'n'slash. Quite often you will find that you have killed someone who is essential to get further in the game.
Such depth, such immersion. Just brilliant.

Don't read ANY guides to the game dude!
It will spoil everything. Just remember this:
    1.Talk to EVERYONE
    2. Don't piss any NPC off unless they're going to be it anyway. This might
ruin a quest later on. These might be important to ending the game.
    3. Don't take ANY items unless they are loot. They might be quest items.
These might be important to ending the game.
    4. Dialog options is based on stats, class and wich NPC's you have in your party. If a party member screws up dialog
then send him/her to another area of the screen.
    5. Always have the party assembled to be sure you hear all dialog possible.

[IMG] I too almost quit during the "starter area". Once I got out of it the full glory of the game soon showed itself.

Yeah, The Mortuary is dull, But stick in for the long run. Pretty soon you'll be visiting sweet areas like the lower ward and Baator, And ... Wait. Can't tell you any more.
    Play the game!!

    THE INTRO MAN!
I still remember when I played it first at a friend. sitting with a top speed laptop and good quality headphones.
I could hear my heartbeats match the intro movies.

the intro of BG2 is like comparing soda to 16 years old Lagavullin

    crilloan
sad, no wisky at home :)
