Trying BG1 again after a long absence. Was intrigued by Easy Tutu, so bought SoA and ToB to install Easy Tutu.

Well, installed SoA and ToB. When I went to install EasyTutu, it told me I had files missing in BG1. So I went to do a full install. (I think I uninstalled first). On the re-install disk 3 hung and of course I had to re-boot.

Now running uninstall gives me the error "The log file 'C:/program files/black isle/baldur's gate/uninst.isu' is not valid or the data has been corrupted. Uninstallation will not continue."

Running Baldur's Gate 1 gets me the error "Assertion: An Assertion failed in D:bad:dev\chitin\chdimm.cpp at line number 581 programmer says: Unable to Opon BIF:data\sfxsound.bif"

Any hints? I guess I can play SoA, but I was looking forward to finishing BG1 even though I was going to start again.

Any help is very much appreciated. I feel a little out my league here.

Sounds like your installation got corrupted; I'd suggest a reinstall. If you can't uninstall them, try following the manual instructions from Bioware to uninstall BG or BG2.

That did the trick on the install. Now I need to see if Easy Tutu is happy with the install. Not a good time to find out you're out of disk space darn it.

Thanks for the link to the board. I guess I should have thought of Bioware support.
