If you have a +2 bow shooting +2 arrows can you hit a creature requiring +3 or better weapons?

Does it depend more on the bow, or on the arrow, or do they get added?

It is the arrows that determines what you can hit.

Are there any +3 arrows? +4 arrows?

When damage is computed does the plus from the bow get added in?

There are no +3 arrows or better in the game.

hmmm... not too sure about the second question, but it has indeed got me wondering about the following:

    - the Sling of Seeking says strength bonus adds to the damage done... what does that mean?

    - If you attack an archer in melee, you get +4 to your THAC0 (or in other words, the archer gets a -4 to AC)... what is the penalty to the archer's THAC0? Is this why some enemies say in the dialogue box "Damn I can't get a shot off"?

It means that if you have a high strength, the damage is included in that besides the normal damage for the bullet used. Normally, strength bonuses would only apply to melee weapons (swords, staves, etc).

I don't think you necessarily get a bonus for engaging in melee with archers but they do get the -4 penalty if they are attacking someone, who is in melee range, with a bow.

[IMG] It's true about the Str bonus to damage from the Sling of Seeking. My cleric, with the girdle of hill giant strength, did 14 damage with that sling on one non-crit throw:

    d4 sling
    +2 sling
    +2 bullet
    +7 str bonus
